Draft, not in force. This policy has not been legally reviewed and the site is not yet public. It is here so the forms it describes can be reviewed alongside it.

Privacy policy

Last updated: Draft — not yet dated

This site belongs to SC Personal Training, a one-person personal training practice in Providence, Rhode Island. It exists to let you read about the coaching and get in touch. This page explains exactly what happens to anything you send.

What is collected

If you fill in a form on this site, you give me:

  • Your first and last name
  • Your email address and phone number
  • The best time of day to reach you
  • Optionally, a free-text answer about your main goal or what is getting in your way
  • Whether you ticked the contact-consent box, the exact wording you agreed to, and when

The form also records, without you typing anything:

  • Which page you submitted from, and which of the three forms it was
  • How you arrived at the site, if you came from a link that carried campaign tags
  • The date and time of submission
  • Your IP address, which is processed by the form provider as part of spam filtering

I do not ask for health information on this website, and you should not put any into the free-text field. Injuries, surgeries, medications and medical conditions are discussed after the first call, in a separate process. If you do include health details in the message box, they are stored the same way as the rest of your enquiry.

Who processes it

I am a single coach, not a company with departments, and I use a small number of third-party services to run the site and manage enquiries. Your details pass through these:

  • Web3Forms — Receives the form submission and emails it onward. Processes your IP address as part of spam filtering.
  • hCaptcha — Runs the “I am human” check on the forms, to keep out spam. It processes your IP address and how you interact with the check.
  • Make.com — Passes the submission to the systems below and alerts Shane.
  • Google — Stores the enquiry record in a private Google Sheet, and provides the calendar used for bookings.
  • Cal.com — Runs the booking page if you schedule a call yourself.
  • Cloudflare — Hosts this website and provides its analytics.

I do not sell your details, and I do not share them with anyone beyond the services listed above.

What I use it for

To reply to your enquiry, to arrange and run a first call, and to keep a record of who has asked about coaching so I do not lose track of anyone. That is the whole list.

Contact consent, text messages, and STOP

The consent box on every form reads, exactly:

That box is never ticked for you, and the form will not submit without it. If you do not tick it, no automated text message is ever sent to you. Replying STOP to any text stops them, and you can also just tell me.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless. It counts page views without setting a cookie, without fingerprinting your device, and without tracking you across other websites.

The one exception is the spam check on the forms, run by hCaptcha, which may store data in your browser to tell people apart from automated bots. It is used only for that, not for advertising or tracking.

How long it is kept, and how to have it deleted

Not final: the retention period is a decision Shane has to make before this policy goes live. It is left blank deliberately rather than filled with a plausible-sounding number.

You can ask me to delete your details at any time, for any reason, and you do not have to explain why. Email me and I will remove the record and confirm when it is done.

Getting in touch

For anything on this page — a deletion request, a correction, or a question about what is stored:

Contact address pending — set at 10 Phase 3.2. A privacy policy without a working contact address is not a policy.
